Participants are expected to comply with all reasonable requests from their leader/guide/instructor in relation to safety. Failure to do so will result in the forfeit of all professional protection and duty of care from the leader/guide/instructor.
The completion of a particular objective in the context of climbing a specific mountain or route cannot be guaranteed due to uncontrollable factors such as the weather. There will be no refunds as a result of not completing the specific itinerary set-out in advance. All itineraries are a guide only and a flexible approach is required when operating in a changeable environment.
During busy periods your leader/guide/instructor may be a freelancer working on behalf of Scott Webster Mountaineering. All leaders/guides/instructors delivering services on behalf of Scott Webster Mountaineering will be suitably qualified, experienced and fully insured for the activity in question.
An equipment list will be sent out at the time of booking. Technical equipment such as ropes and rack are provided. A small selection of harnesses and helmets are also available for clients use at no extra cost - if you require any such equipment make this known at the time of booking. Participants wishing to use any of their own technical equipment will only be able to do so once it has been checked and deemed suitable by their leader/guide/instructor. If the participant’s own equipment does not meet the necessary safety standards as determined by the leader/guide/instructor then they will be forced to source a suitable alternative prior to activities commencing.
Scott Webster Mountaineering reserves the right to exclude any participant deemed to be a risk to the safety of the group through a lack of fitness, ill-health or is believed to be under the influence of drugs/alcohol. No refunds will be given in this situation.
